The SCB11–13 dry-type transformer is designed for power systems below 35 kV and follows GB/T 10228. It is developed from the SC(B)10 series and reduces no-load loss and load loss. The dry-type transformer should be reviewed together with the stated application and order requirements.
Its windings use high-purity, low-viscosity epoxy resin applied through vacuum casting. Removing air during the casting process allows the resin to enter the spaces within the winding more evenly. The cured resin provides electrical insulation and helps the conductors maintain their designed positions. The dry-type transformer can be specified according to the project requirements.
No-load loss occurs whenever the transformer remains energized. Load loss changes according to the current passing through the windings. Reducing both values helps control energy consumption under different operating conditions.
The solid-insulated winding does not require an oil tank or an oil-level device. The transformer can be used in power plants, substations, industrial facilities, mines, and user distribution systems. Selection of the the product should reflect the operating conditions and installation plan.
Installation planning should include a stable base, suitable electrical clearances, adequate airflow, reliable grounding, secure cable connections, and access for inspection.
