High Voltage Switchgear

The high voltage switchgear is a metal-clad cabinet for the listed 12kV distribution system. Its internal sections separate the busbar, switching and cable functions. A withdrawable truck provides defined operating positions for the selected circuit equipment. Breaker, metering, voltage-transformer and isolation arrangements serve different feeder roles within the range. The protective and control interfaces connect those functions to the electrical scheme. Cabinet protection levels differ between the closed enclosure and accessible internal areas. Selection therefore includes the truck function, cable arrangement and required operating interfaces, alongside the rated voltage and current of the completed cabinet.
